FAQ
What is Untung99?
Untung99 is a Nusantara pirate-themed Minecraft MMORPG server. You build ships, recruit crew, complete quests, and explore the seven seas. Free and pay-to-win-free.
How do I join?
Open the latest Minecraft, choose Multiplayer, click Add Server, enter the address play.untung99.lol, and join. Follow the harbor tutorial to start sailing.
Is it free?
Yes, free forever. No pay-to-win — all treasure, power, and achievement come from in-game effort, not your wallet.
Java or Bedrock?
Both. Full crossplay: Java Edition and Bedrock (mobile and console) players sail the same seas.
Which Minecraft version?
Use the latest supported version. If unsure, check the current version announcement on the community Discord.
Do I need to register on this site?
No. You just use your Minecraft account. We never ask for passwords outside official Minecraft/Microsoft services.
What season is the server on?
Season 1 — First Sail, focused on onboarding in Barasakti Bay. More seasons are coming; see the full roadmap on the World page.
Is it safe for new players?
Yes. Barasakti Bay is a safe, no-PvP zone, and moderation enforces the Pirate's Oath to protect new deckhands.
How do I report a rule-breaker?
Use the /report command in-game, or report in the #lapor-perompak channel on Discord with evidence (screenshots/recordings). More on the Rules page.
Is there pay-to-win or paid items?
None at all. We do not sell combat advantages, stats, or shortcuts of any kind. All power comes from playing. If cosmetic items or voluntary support ever become available, they will not affect game balance and will be announced openly beforehand.
How long does the Season 1 questline take?
Roughly 60–90 minutes for all eight quests, depending on your pace. Each quest teaches one core mechanic — from sailing and ship crafting to spice trading and the crew system — so it never feels like a pile of tutorials.
Will my progress be reset?
Progress is never wiped at random. Resets only happen at major season changes, and are always announced well in advance on Discord and recorded in the devlog. The last reset happened before the Season 1 launch so everyone would start from the same point.
Is PvP forced?
No. Barasakti Bay, the starter zone, is entirely PvP-free. PvP is only active in open waters per the mechanics, and you can choose a peaceful path — trading spices, doing quests, or building — without ever attacking another player.
Do I need mods or a texture pack?
Not required. The server runs on vanilla Minecraft with no extra mods. An optional resource pack is offered automatically when you join, adding themed icons and textures — you can decline it without losing access to any feature.
Can I play solo without a crew?
Yes. The entire Season 1 questline and most content is designed to be completable alone. Crews and fleets are needed for advanced co-op content such as world bosses and endgame raids, but they never block solo progress.
Is the server safe and moderated?
Yes. We enforce clearly written rules with graduated sanction tiers, active anti-cheat, and a volunteer moderator team. Severe offenses such as cheating, hate speech, and doxxing lead to permanent bans. Every sanction can be appealed.
When is the best time to start?
Right now. Season 1 has just opened, so every player starts from the same point with no progress gap. Joining early in a season also means you help shape the fleets and the server economy from the ground up.
